About Utilified
Utilified is a Melbourne utility-tech company. We build utility intelligence software: UMS, EMP (in pilot), the UMS Portal and Joule, on one utility data spine.
Utility data sits in supplier portals, PDFs, spreadsheets and inboxes, so billing errors go unnoticed and decisions run on stale numbers. UMS, the Utilified Management System, brings accounts, sites, meter data, invoices, tariffs and agreements into one place for invoice validation, payment files, budgets and reporting.
UMS covers electricity, gas, LPG and water, on a data model that extends to other commodities. Automated feed coverage and validation depth vary by supplier, fuel and market; Australian NEM electricity is deepest.

Utilified is built for utility portfolios worldwide. Its deepest coverage today is in Australia's NEM, including AEMO data, network tariffs and loss factors, on an architecture designed to extend to other markets, fuels and geographies. Our founder
Cohen founded Utilified with a clear thesis: utility management runs on spreadsheets and guesswork.
His background spans the utility operations stack: invoice validation against gazetted network tariffs and contracted retail rates, interval meter data collection across AEMO and distributor systems, and financial reporting for multi-site energy portfolios. Before founding Utilified, Cohen worked directly with energy brokers and enterprise procurement teams, and saw how much time and money went into manual processes and disconnected data.
That experience shaped how UMS works: NMI and MIRN identifiers across electricity and gas, checks against contracted rates, network tariffs and loss factors, and interval data kept alongside the invoices it explains.
